The Necromancer's Site (Archived): http://blargh.i-xcell.com/
Later, he moved some of his stuff to Randomselect. Broli was the last char he updated, and he said in the readme, "Out of boredom one day I figured I redownload MUGEN, my Broli, and update him. This does not mean I will be returning to actively create characters for MUGEN; I just don't enjoy 2D fighting games as much I as I used to." Afterwards, he probably left MUGEN and never returned.
There was a, "Mu de Aries by The Necromancer", but it seems to be an edit of The Necromancer's Piccolo done by, "MU". MU's Mu de Aries was hosted at Zeus Team's site.
Wow, I can't believe I got so many of his chars, stages and other things, untouched! However, I don't know if this is all of it. Since he was active on the old MUGEN board(s)/forum(s), and many of the threads and pages weren't archived, he may have released a few things here and there that I don't know about. On top of that, his old sites weren't archived either, so I don't know what they contained. While looking through Electrocaid's perfect select from 2010, it seems like I got all of The Necromancer's creations/edits from his list.
The Necromancer also went by the name, "FlowaGirl", but Tenebrous in the Gideon readme file called The Necromancer a, "he", so I'm going with that.
Use Dos2Win to fix pals and convert some of these chars. Dos2Win doesn't backup the sff file properly. Some of these chars don't work with MUGEN 1.1 and 1.0, but Winmugen and below.

Arina, Kuzu-bei's Broly, and Orochi are indeed incompatible with both MUGEN 1.0 and 1.1, though I have done a few things with Arina that actually made her work: I replaced the decimal points with commas on both the versiondate and mugenversion in the .def file, and/or doing some manual fixing by changing all instances of "velset = 0,0,0" to "velset = 0,0" in the .cns file.
ReplyDeleteAlso, speaking of Kuzu-bei's Broly, the link for the version that's "BETA 2" actually leads to Orochi instead.
Good catch. Will fix.
