I just discovered Udrop, and it's similar to Linkbox/Telebox.

Wow. I just found this out today. www.udrop.com. You get 50GBs of free storage for registered and non-registered accounts! It's just like the old mega.nz when they use to give out 50GBs of storage when you sign up. Reading the FAQs, this is what they had to say:

"Free/non accounts files are kept for unlimited days. Premium accounts files are kept for unlimited days."

"You can upload as many files as you want, as long as each one adheres to the Terms of Service and the maximum file upload size."

"You may upload the following types of files: Any."

That's very impressive.

However, they have this:

"Each file you upload must be less than 5 GB in size for free/non accounts or less than 5 GB in size for premium accounts. If it is greater than that amount, your file will be rejected."

Which could be a bummer if you're a premium account user. It's the same size as free users. Also this too, "Premium accounts files are kept for unlimited days" which is the same as free users.

Now before this, I discovered Linkbox in 2023, now known as Telebox. Their site: https://www.linkbox.to/. They also give out 50GBs of free storage for registered free users, same with the old mega.nz and Udrop. We will see if Linkbox/Telebox and Udrop are actually better than mega.nz, or if they will fade out in a short time, or change their rules. Right now, I'm liking both of them, and that's 100GBs of free storage and sharing on the internet.

Also, both are fairly new file hosting sites. Udrop came out in 2020, and back then they had restrictions such as, "Max file size: 2.00 GB", and, "Files removed after: 14 days", for a short while. [Source]. They later changed their plans, and for years they had this rule, "'Temp' users will have their files removed after 7 days since its last download or, if no download has been performed, 7 days since upload," [Source] until this year in 2024! In 2024, they went all out, "unlimited" for how long files will stay. [Source], Sometime later in 2024, they restricted the file size upload even more from 10GB to 5GB, and that is the plan they have today. [Source].

Linkbox, on the other hand, offered 50GBs of free storage right off the bat when they came out in 2022. [Source]. I forgot where they are based at. I found the information before, but I lost it, and I can't find it now with a quick search. Not sure about Udrop either.

Also, both don't require phone numbers to be registered for free accounts. Mega.nz used to be like that, but not anymore. Mega.nz have gone down the hill limiting free users to just 20GBs right after sign up, along with mandatory phone number registration.

If Udrop and Linkbox keep this up with these offers, or better, I see a bright future for them. Not a lot of people know about them right now as they are quite obscure and new, but with plans like these, that might change.
